Police investigate incidents of racist abuse and pint-throwing at Man City vs Liverpool match

The Greater Manchester Police have announced that they are looking into various incidents that occurred during and after the Manchester City versus Liverpool

Racist abuse and pyrotechnic possession incidents reported at Manchester City vs Liverpool match

GMP's match commander, Supt Gareth Parkin, said: "Investigation launched into object throwing and smoke bomb incidents at Manchester City vs Liverpool match"

Both Manchester City and Liverpool released a joint statement condemning the incidents that occurred during the match as being "totally unacceptable" and "deeply disappointing"

 "Manchester City and Liverpool vow to investigate and punish individuals responsible for unacceptable incidents at the match"
